Latergrams

Tennesy is starting to fall in to a routine. This baby stuff isn't easy, but each day it gets a little better. Things are constantly changing and we are learning new stuff with each day. But boy how we love this girl.

This girl is the happiest most smiley girl any of us have ever seen!! I don't know how she is so smiley with such a sick stomach 24/7. If only we could get that taken care of, darn it! We're tryin!

She loves the movie Lilo And Stitch!! I don't know what it is... But she LOVES it!

Hanging out with dad! We love the weekends =)

The best part about this beautiful place? It's so close to our house!
There's an ugly brown hill we can see from our house. We decided to drive over that big brown hill and discovered this breath taking place. Seriously you guys, these pictures don't do it justice. There was no end to these rolling green hills. They stretched on for miles. We saw wild turkeys and deer and we rolled down the windows, played our music and took in the beauty. Who knew it existed, and right by us this whole time!

All ready for church!

She fell asleep in Dad's arms during priesthood meeting, and then basked in the sunshine outside after church.

Just catching up while I fold laundry

Someone got blessed last Sunday in a pretty dress made by grandma bob and a lovely blanket sewn by her Grandma. Such a beautiful day, and Auntie Karin opened up her home to everyone so it could happen.

At two months you have found your hands! You always have them in your mouth and you drool all over everything. You love to smile at everyone and try to be part of the conversation. You think it's pretty funny when we stick our tongues out at you and you stick yours right back out at us.

You definitely know your family. You watch us intently and copy the noises we make. You can go from perfectly content to starving in 0.2 seconds! And you use your amazing lungs to let us all know.

You still do your cute "eyeyeye" noise when you are getting frustrated with us and your quivery chin is still hanging around.

You love ceiling fans that has given you the nicname of fanny by your grandma who also bought you Humphrey your hamster because you guys have matching cheeks. Grandpa says you store your milk in them, and I call you Marvin because you're positive you are always starvin'

You're still nursing but you like to mix things up a little and drink from your bottle sometimes. You sure know what you want and when you want it! Your tummy still bothers you and we are trying our darndist to get you feeling better. But even with an upset tummy, you're the smiliest girl I've ever seen!

You have sure taught us a lot and we have learned to be patient with one another. We love you so much and you make us laugh all the time with the silly things you do.

On January 1st you weighed 10lbs 14oz and a couple weeks before that, you were 21" long! You are so tall! You have almost outgrown your size 3 month feety pajamas and I am running out of pjs for you. Dad and grandma have both said,
that we are going to have to cut the toes off of them so your feet can poke out.

You took a trip to UT and ID over Christmas and we stayed a whole month visiting grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles and all of your cousins. You had a yucky double ear infection, and RSV while we were there, went for a wild ride in your car seat at your cousins house and you were blessed by your dad in a beautiful homemade outfit and accessories made by your grandmas. You also outgrew most of your clothes and became a little baby instead of a newborn! Where did my teeny little bebe go??

You change every day, sweet girl. And while I'm sad to see you growing so quickly, it's so fun to watch you learn and change each day. You just get cuter and cuter and even more fun. I swear, every morning I wake up you have grown in the night. Part of me wishes I could keep you little forever.

We sure love you sweet Tennesy.

InstaSunday
"Good morning"
"Little Fox"
Back in UT. Can you tell by the smiles on our faces, that we are happy to be "home"?! If the camera could have gotten my feet in the picture, you would see that I was wearing sandals.. My church shoes got lost in the move, and my boots were at my parents house. And yes, I did step out of the car into a giant icy puddle and a foot of snow.
Always crossing her ankles. #sassypants #babytoes

I found this blurry picture on my phone. We have been visiting family over the holidays, and this girl is always being held by someone. She just gets passed from one person to the next :)

I have written so many blog posts, but never feel like they are good enough to post. That's ridiculous though, isn't it? Because this is my blog. Not anyone else's. I started this blog as a place to document our lives. A place where friends and family can follow along on our weekly ventures and we can look back on posts and remember all the fun (and real) things that were happening.

I look at our other blog all the time! It's a diary of another time! A record of life before. When Mike and I were dating, after we got engaged, and our first years of marriage. It's full of happy and sad, funny and boring. Some of the posts are very personal thoughts I put out there for anyone to read. Some posts are less intriguing and actually quite boring. But they are there, and I am so happy that they are.

Here on this blog I am going to post our real life. My thoughts (though semi filtered) still may seem less than perfect. Probably much like this post, very un-blogworthy. But if I stress about editing my thoughts, then it's not really real. It'll be filtered, after all, this is a public blog and I want to keep some things private from random followers and even family.
But if I worry too much about it, I hide it away and it never gets published. It never gets recorded to look back on, and what's the fun in that?

So with that said, here's to this new blog. This new part of our lives. This new story!

This little girl is one month old already. We love her cute face and pretty big eyes. And I can't get enough of those soft cheeks and find myself kissing them and taking in her sweet baby smell all day long. She is true perfection and we are so in love with her!! Mike told me the other day how much he loves waking up next to her. She's always looking at him with big eyes ready to talk to him and tell him all about everything.

I probably should have hired a photographer who knew what they were doing to come photograph my newborn... but where's the fun in that? I'm still learning how to use my camera, and am hoping with practice and time, I will get better and better. Some of the pictures in this post are actually from my really fancy camera. And by really fancy camera I mean my cell phone. I did it. I used my iPhone to take my newborns photos. But not all of them were taken with an IPhone! Sheesh!

My mom was in town and made Tennesy that beautiful blanket. I made the hat and TuTu, and a friend gave me the cute headband. I have a whole file full of pictures from this shoot, so don't you worry! You'll be getting many more over the next few weeks ;D

I'll also do a tutorial on the photography and the tutu soon. So keep your eyes peeled!

I don't know how I can be so happy and also more exhausted than I've ever been, at the same time. Like completely exhausted. I also didn't know I could be so in love with someone. I thought I knew love when I met Mike, but I think we both agree that this is a whole new love. And seeing Mike with our little girl just makes my heart melt. We are definitely smitten by this girl, and are so happy she is finally here. I'll post the birth story soon, but for now we are enjoying this moment. Taking ridiculous amounts of pictures, trying to stay awake, dozing for those five minutes when we can, and just watching her sleep when we can't! Oh how we love this little girl. Welcome to the family, Tennesy.
